Is galvanized strip steel hot-dip galvanized or cold-galvanized?
1. The two functions are different
Hot-dip galvanizing has the advantages of uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life. The molten plating solution has complex chemical and physical reactions with the base of the hot-dip galvanized steel pipe to form a corrosion-resistant "zinc-iron alloy" layer with a tight structure. Galvanized strip is the outer surface of ordinary material plated with zinc, which plays an anti-corrosion effect on the outer surface and also has a certain aesthetic effect, but it is mainly anti-corrosion.
2, the two concepts are different
Hot-dip galvanizing uses the principle of zinc to resist atmospheric corrosion to electrochemically protect steel and other materials. The zinc carbonate protective film on the surface can slow down the rate of zinc corrosion. Even if it is destroyed, a zinc film will be formed again. The galvanized strip refers to the straight out of the galvanized pipe, that is, the surface of the black pipe is plated with a layer of zinc, which only plays the role of basic anti-corrosion and aesthetics.
