The quality of galvanized steel coil sheet

1. Specifications and Dimensions

The standard galvanized coil factory is marked with its standard length, thickness, width and allowable deviation value; if the customer has special requirements, the width, length and thickness of the galvanized sheet can be customized according to customer requirements.

2. Packaging Design

Galvanized coils are generally packaged with iron sheets, lined with moisture-proof paper, and tied with iron waists. The binding is firm and prevents the inner galvanized sheets from rubbing against each other.

Appearance of galvanized steel coil

(1)Galvanized coil is inferior to the former in terms of weld ability, coating properties and form ability. For a long time, the stamping form ability, spot weld ability and surface quality of galvanized GI steel sheets for automobiles have been a problem, which also limits its application in automobile outer panels. Automotive assembly requires 3000-4000 solder joints. Compared with ordinary cold plate, the electrode life of hot-dip galvanized sheet welding is lower, that is, the number of consecutive spot welding of the same electrode is less.

(2)Surface state: Galvanized sheet has different surface states due to different treatment methods in the coating process, such as ordinary spangle, fine spangle, flat spangle, non-spangle and phosphating surface. German standards also specify surface levels.

(3) The galvanized coil should have a good appearance, and there should be no defects that are harmful to the use of the product, such as no coating, holes, cracks, scum, excessive thickness of the coating, scratches, chromic acid dirt, white rust, etc. Foreign standards are not very clear about the specific appearance defects.
